Every good adventure starts with Greyhound
The plans were altered today after Greyhound overbooked their bus, and we were not allowed on. We were told we had to wait 6 hours for the next bus. We decided to demand a refund and go by air. So we are planning to leave tomorrow morning, and arrive in Atlanta by noon. Ultimately we should start the trail about the same time as we would have if we arrived by bus. I am kind of happy we get to sleep in a real bed tonight. The whole ordeal was pretty tiring today. Greyhound has such a messed up system. Their whole company is based on serving the lower class that do not have other options for transportation, so they know people will wait for a ride...what else are they going to do. South American buses are 100 percent better!! Well wish us luck on our second attempt to leave Dallas.

Nick and Sara,
Great to have met you both on the Houston-Atlanta flight. All the best on your thru-hike start. By now you should have a few miles behind you...every step gets you closer to Maine. Keep it up! We all look forward your updates from the trail.
